Leaving the game

The most annoying things about Generation zero is when I loose connection or when I have to go out for a few hours and don’t like to leave the PC on. All the medi pack supply ammo boxs and the travel radio are lost when I return and login again, can you not implement when you return to the hame that these items are still available. This would be specifically useful when engaging the Reaper, as it can take good 4 or more hours, this be specifically useful when the connection is lost and you are kicked out of the game, and all your set up with equipment is then lost.

I understand what you mean.
Well, I didn’t mind it that much yet, because I simply accepted that if I drop something, it’ll be gone next time, but at least for some certain items it would really be appreciated, if they would stay (longer).

Unused and undepleted field radios, medical supplies, ammo supplies, mines and everything used as traps.

But I also see that those items shouldn’t stay forever at their places, because it could lead to issues if you drop hundreds of these items and never use them.

No to field radios! When I host there are players that dump large amounts of radios and it is very annoying when you move on from battle to battle and radios stay everywhere on the map and the HUD.

It would also make the game very easy to spam resources. Drop a lot of loot. Leave game, load a save game and return to collect everything you dropped. I don’t see anything good in a feature that saves loot that you drop after leaving the game. My map would quickly get cluttered with loot I don’t want.

I see.
Didn’t think about multiplayer.
Maybe just your own stuff should stay, so other peoples field radios (and the other stuff) disappear in your world after they left.

I didn’t mean dropped loot. I meant items that you placed for using them.

Those small backpacks of dropped loot should disappear as usual.

The game has to reset resources. Thing like the loot boxes, machines, and the things that can be blown up on the map all need to reset at some point. Having consumables scattered around the map would stop the resets from happening or increase the delay of them happening.

Asking for those consumables to remain on the map for hours after it is closed :

Would stop the regions from resetting all together.

The reaper regains some of it’s health when host exits the game, forced or otherwise. And the region where the reaper is at also resets if given enough time.

my daughter uses generation zero as excuse for not cleaning her room, tells me, by leaving stuff on the ground it will disappear a few hours later,, like in generation zero leaving backpacks on the ground, cleaning itself up few hours later :face_with_monocle: it doesn’t work that way

Who says that?
How do you know that?
If the devs would add this suggestion, why should they add it in a way that affects the worlds such negatively?

The useable stuff just could be excluded from existing rules/get their own rules.

Yes there should be a limit on it you can return once which would cover crashes or if I have to go leave the game running when I go out or do something and the game loose it connection to the server you have to restart it and everything is you left traps, dumps for use is gone.
