Looking for a Gaming Laptop (2025)

So, even without price increase Walmart copied the price from Non U.S territories?(More 100 in Slim with disk /standard wth disc)
That is weird, why would anyone even buy the same console for an higher price when its cheaper everywhere else?
I thought Walmart had good deals and discounts

It was just the base console if I remember right

Walmart has good prices on something’s, but in the US for a PS5, PlayStation Direct is the best place to buy a new ps5. Sorry forget to mention, its not just Walmart pricing higher, its everyone besides ps direct.

Ok, thats pure greed  .
Well, here most big shops that sell electronics, domestic appliances and gaming stuff usually sell it at the standard prices.
Most people dont even use PS direct over here, unless its for some special campaign or some items you cant find anywhere else (like some covers for PS5 models).

What about xbox series X? Before the new prices? was it at 500 dollars till March 2025 or it was the same situation, with an extra 50 or 100 dollars?

Nevertheless, neither a PS5 nor a Xbox can be used for what I want to use a laptop.
And also a desktop PC won’t be helpful.

I just wonder: what should I look for? Asus, Acer, MSI or something else? And is a rtx 3050 enough or should I chose a rtx 4050?

Mostly office use, maybe sometimes for some RTS games.

I think any of it will be just fine. As long as you didn’t run visual or 3d editors, or those RPGs. (i guess especially FF series or MH:wild or Space Citizen n etc.)

The Xbox (I believe I am not as much of an Xbox fan) was 500 and the PS5 digital was 500 with the disc version being 550, so maybe they were just price matching them?

I would recommend a razor brand laptop, but the important thing is to make sure to read all the specs first. Make sure it has at least 8 gigabytes of ram (although I would recommend 16), look up the processor and card to make sure they’re good, and always, always read reviews. As long as you do those things you’ll end up with a good one, but you do want to make sure you get the best you can afford as games are getting harder to run all the time, and it’s hard to find laptops you can keep for a long time

Bcoz the dev will modify n improve a game’s stories, graphics, mechanism n so on, while still fit-in current console before the next generation release. But when it come to pc, they generally prefer simply pile up everything.

MSI cyborg looks good
Acer nitro V if you dont mind a noisy fan in fast mode(or whatever its called)
Asus tuf (the modest one) seems fine too.
These laptops can run most games, just make sure its 16 GB Ram and the graphic card is from 3050 to above.
Asus for handling games bellow 700 euros i dont think you can find any at all.
No dont get any laptop with 8 gb ram, 16 is minimum!!
Mine has 8 gb RAM and its an asus from 2016, it will be obsolete in 2 or 3 years.
Get a 4060, considering that no new laptop model is using the 3050, the ones with it are models produced from 2022 and before.
Think of it as an investment, a computer that will serve your needs for the next 10 years with good care and some luck!
