Loot Respawning System IS Working!... for me at least

For anyone wounding how long loot takes to respawn it is 4 in game hours that have to be played in order for loot to start respawning after you have looted the container. Just letting you all know that it’s working… for me at least.

Good to hear :+1: no difference on my end yet

Are you playing on PS4?

Thats fantastic how lucky, most ps4 players cant go beyond the menu screen because it crashes. Enjoy. :slightly_smiling_face:

4 hours is an incredibly long time. An hour or even two I get but FOUR? As it is right now, I can’t even find ammo for my rifle. And forget about armor plated ammo.

I don’t want to but the games forcing me to move on. There’s no new content for seasoned players, the world is dreadfully quiet once you complete the main mission… and now no Ammo.

I’m a huge fan of the game but I can’t play like this.

So let me get this straight, they are now not letting Containers refresh with Loot on every new login? I just went to Normyra, my Loot spot for ammo, none of the Toolboxes had anything in them and when I relogged the Game everything I searched was opened and unsearchable again even if I didnt take anything from that ammo box the first time. I’ve completed the Game a second time so all that’s left for me to do is help others and now the Devs are making it so I can’t resupply? lol These Devs either don’t know what they are doing, or they made back their initial investment and are trying to drive off the player base so they can cut the Server/Game Support.

No, Xbox 1. Full day and night cycles has passed, and all containers are still looted. Stenhaga Farm has been deserted since my first game after the update. But I’m gonna check again when I get home from work

Toolboxs seem to always be completely empty all the time.

They are empty all the time

I think four hours to recycle loot in game play is a bit long. For me, that would be gameplay split between 2 to 3 days, just to be able to recycle loot in boxes.

I think that a better timetable to suit both casual and hardcore players Is to replenish loot in loot boxes the “earlier” of four in game playtime hours or a twenty four hour login cycle. So, for the latter, since the former is already in game, the loot will replenish after a period of 24 real life hours from the last time you looted the loot box.

I agree with this idea. Personally, i’m part of the group that has random crashes that can happen at anytime when i’m playing. Usually my play sessions last anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple hours and it would also take me 2-3 days worth of playing in order to get the boxes to resupply. If it could resupply after 4 in-game hours OR 12-24 real life hours that would improve the game for the more casual players.

One thing I forgot to add… if we have to have any respawn rate based on gameplay time a clock would help immensely.

I hear that, and also called it in a few threads. And people once new to the game, defending it to no end, are now realizing what I was saying back then about how it gets repetitive and boring, looting the same 5 houses, shipping containers and warehouses. And even if they add new content, it will have to be pretty extravagant to keep people playing cause the way I see it, they may add new areas but will most likely consist of the same house/building schematics, same machines etc. The missions seem really plain too… I’d like some like human AI vendors, and outposts where they’re also trying to survive the machines and you can raid the outposts. But I see the way this engine runs, and I highly doubt that those things could ever exist and run good in this game. It has a long way to go in terms of getting it running properly still with just the basics it offers.

If they fixed the toolboxes to have loot and so many of the ammo boxes and backpacks weren’t also usually empty, it wouldn’t be so bad. But when your ammo all disappears and you cant find any boxes or bags to loot for more, it gets old
