Lost connection again

While playing assignment “compleat a defence mission on medium difficulty setting”, I completed it only to find Generation zero on Steam had lost connection and it had not recorded the mission.
This is not the first time, now I going to find it difficult to complete this assignment.

Is this Generation zero or steam causing this.

I am pretty sure it would be the game, they have a very buggy game saving setup.

On PS5 I never lose connection.
Maybe it’s system related?

For PC there may be many more factors that could cause losing the connection.

I play on Xbox series x and about every 30 minutes I would get kicked out, it stopped a while ago but I still get kicked out every once and a while.

Oh, maybe another detail that could be a reason.
Are you connected with lan cable or wifi?

I also not long ago I had to redo the another castle missions, for some reason even though I completed them a long time.

I was doing other missions, and then I decided to play multiplayer for a bit, then after that I went back to solo and it told me I had to do the another castle missions again.

I am connected to Wifi.

I’m just using lan cable.
Maybe there are data package losses when using wifi and the game isn’t able to handle the data with lost packages properly.

Back in the days on PS4, when I didn’t have a cabled setup and used wifi, too, I also had some more issues, especially when playing cooperative with my mate.

Hmm, yeah I got a better wifi setup and It made it better, but I still get kicked out sometimes.

You could try to check the wifi settings in the Router/Access Point or wherever your wifi comes from.

Some settings may give you more speed or range, but with a higher risk of losing data packages. (Less stability)

If you are next to the router, use a ethernet cable. Some rooms away from it, do a wifi coverage test or force your console to connect at 2,4GHz because it gives more stability with a good 2,4 than a screwy 5Ghz.
Depending on router and firmware, some are terrible when it is time to renew the IP loan from the DHCP service. Either go for a static IP or try to set your internal loan period to, for example 24Hours.
Also check how long the loan from your ISP is. That time can only be adjusted by them but there in most modern routers some settings depending on brand, that can improve the renewal process of the IP from your ISP.
