Observed Behaviour:
On some occasions an audio issue could be heard where the sound of each Runners footstep would cut off around halfway through the usual sound. So far I’ve only heard this issue outdoors in hilly areas and it seems that the audio engine doesn’t handle audio travelling through uneven surfaces well. Unfortunately the issue seem a bit random, however having heard it several times I think I’ve managed to find a relatively sure spot - the cairn at the end of the Path of the Gods quest (Orsnabben Lookout Point).
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch Generation Zero and proceed into the main menu.
- Enter active gameplay and play through until reaching the Path of the Gods side mission.
- Progress through the mission until reaching the final area (see screenshots).
- Climb to the top of the hill and listen to the Runners’ footstep audio while facing west.
Expected Results:
Machine footstep audio plays entirely.
Notes:
- I could only hear the issue when machines weren’t agitated and were just patrolling around the hill. Subsequent combat was too frantic too properly verify the issue but I didn’t hear that the more rapid footsteps had any issues.
