Machines... or the lack of variation

To me, one of the reasons I quit playing is: lack of variation of machines.
For the past many months I kept seeing the same darn thing over and again, then Alpine Unrest would bring in a new machine type… which was not at all a new machine type, but machine class.

Again 4 of the same 6 darn machines, but with a wee more armour slapped slapped on, basically.
OK, that’s a bit wide-through-the-corner, but you get my point.

Sure, the Apo Class is different in some ways, but in far more ways… it just is not.
They are bullet sponges, heavy, threatening, but completely not as these are so exploitable.
Those that get this know, I will not say how, since… spoiler.

IMHO, we surely could use a large batch of new machines.
And, please, NOT the same with even more armour slapped on?

Actually, there aren’t 6x new machine class enemies but instead 4x. There are no apo harv and apo seeker.

OH, good point…
My bad!
Thank you, miss.

Yeah you’re right where are the apo harvesters and seekers

Yes.
Corrected it accordingly…

This may be an unpopular opinion but I think the 6 different enemies across 4 different classes (excluding Harv’s and Seekers from Apo) provides enough of a challenge to keep me entertained all day. I get a really good mix throughout the day over the 4 classes to keep me on my toes and honestly most of the time I still can’t predict what’s on the other side of the hill/door/whatever. I would like to see some Apo Harv’s that would be pretty cool. Overall though I’m not gonna lie I’m pretty satisfied with where we are today. Just my opinion, take it for what you will!

It’s not about the challenge, but the lack of diversity.
After a year, you start to crave for something different…
Much like with food: eat nothing else than the same 6 things for a year… we’ll talk again then.

@Xogroroth well to be fair, I only started this game maybe a month ago, so I don’t have anywhere near the time you’ve invested in it. I can understand wanting more after a period of time like that. I’m not opposed to what you’re suggesting I guess the biggest thing for me is I’d like to see them go 100% in working on the bugs before they get into new content. It’s really hard to play the game as is with disappearing enemies, ammo not loading into the AG4, getting stuck in containers and what not. It makes the game hard to play and I’m not giving up on it, so that’s my selfish request. Haha I don’t disagree though I wouldn’t say no to some new enemies

New machines does not automatically mean these come on top of the rest.
The could replace a few existing.

As for the bugs? agreed!
Still, as you said: you’re fairly new…
I’ve been around since launch of the ‘full version’…
Things then begin to be… quite different, believe me.
AGAIN: I agree 100%: bugs first!

I agree with you. The apo class machines are bullet sponges and I personally dont like their damage over time damage. I currently stoped playing it too, because to fight the apo machines just annoyes me.
(I played 240 hours GZ so far)
PS: What annoyes me also a lot is the bug with the apo hunter’s mortar. They can knock you down eventhough you have the skill that avoids that.

While there are a few disappointments, the foremost reason I took a break is… in the last century (it feels that long) I’ve been playing GZ just… too much.
Being a cripple, I had time, and a LOT of it went in GZ.

Also, while there are some disappointments, I do need to say this as well: the game is BRUTALLY AWESOME!
The land, the sounds, the atmosphere, I could go on.
Yes, there are a few things I do not like, but overall?
DAMN good game.
Even after centuries in there, I will return.
Heck, depending on whatever I might even return tomorrow. XD

I truly hope, seeing the IMMENSE potential this game has, it will all work out just perfectly.
And I have good hopes in that regard, to be honest.
All in all?
I’m darn happy with GZ and AU!!!

I have to add that too the game really is brutally awesome. The world is so immersive I can put my headset on and I feel like I’m there. I like the weapon variety I feel comfortable out and about with my favorite weapons on hand. The enemies are challenging but still fun to encounter, the story is terrific I personally enjoyed the story most out of everything GZ had to offer. Disappointments we’ve listed aside, the game is amazing and has HUGE potential to get better

Does the skill say it can deal with all kind of intensity? I seem to remember it doesn’t.

Amen.

@pegnose
As far as I remember, it gives a lot resistance to knock-down, but not a total coverage?

Steady Feet skill protects you from runner melee jump knockdown, hunter blade slash (both side to side and when hunter jumps with stabbing) and also smaller explosions. Bigger explosions still ragdoll you (e.g direct hit from tank’s rocket pod or apo hunter mortar).

Sometimes FNIX runners and hunters a bit more even, can sweep me of my feet, though I have the skill…
