I want to start by saying, this has quickly become one of my new favorite games!
I am having an issue with 2 quests in the main quest, the first one being the early quest, THE FARM.
When i arrive to the farm, it says to kill the 4 machines roaming the farm… aside from a couple of Ticks in one of the barns, Which killing the Ticks apparently does not count as the machines it wants you to kill. , there are no machines roaming the farm and killing machines near the farm do not count. Luring machines to the farm and then killing them also does not advance the quest.
I even made a new character, which strangely, aside from having no skill points, the map and quests that i completed with my first character are shown to be completed for my 2nd character. also, my 2nd character even has skill reset points shared with the 1st character.
I actually created a new character to see if the quest would be completable only to discover this.
Since this is the case for the quest concerning The Farm, and the shared quest completion and world experience between characters. I think it is safe to assume that the second quest will be giving me the same trouble…
The second quest that is bugged for me is Vesslan Bunker…
At Vesslan, the first time i arrived there i was able to enter the bunker, however, I DID NOT locate the war board, at the time, something else grabbed my attention that i wanted to complete and I don’t remember what that was, but, now, i cant even re enter the bunker at all. the door scanners (all of them at vesslan) comes on but no longer allows entry to that bunker, I am not sure if not finding the war board right away is what broke that quest for me. but it would seem so as I cant think of anything i may have done in game that would break the quest.
I’m not sure if the character world experience sharing in terms of map locations and reset skills is an intended feature, but I cant imagine why it would be. It doesn’t make sense that you would strip a second characters ability to obtain exploration exp points intentionally. Or what the purpose of fast traveling a level 0 character to a far more difficult area of the world would be. I really don’t see the reason for having safehouse storage sharing between players either. If these are intended features, they must be broken, at least for me, and I don’t see the point of them.
If i may suggest what I think would be a simple resolution to the problem. That solution would be to simply make all quests in the game, re-playable, or re loadable rather, at any time once the quest has been opened up to the player… perhaps be able to right click on any opened quest and click, 're-load quest" that runs a script to actually fully reset the quest as if it had not been played yet. this way all place holders, items, enemies and everything are reloaded
The only way to fix this currently is for you to delete all characters forcing the game to restart you from scratch, or delet the save file which i dont know how to do on PS or Xbox so cant assist that side. If you do the delete all characters but want to keep all gear, store it in your plundra aka the storage box and then delete all characters. When you reach the church, check the plundra and everything should be there.

On PS4 you have to go to home screen, then go to Settings → Storage → Save Data and delete GZ’s save file from there.
