Making Friends mission starts at the Vesslan bunker with the station of the companion, where a letter/note should be found. Next thing: 3 locations on the map to go to.
Not in my case - even the door was open.
No multiplayer, no possibility to fetch my things on location - I really don’t understand.
Edit: played a bit with the configuration of my companion and now the mission is completed
