Issue with missions being completed/done under missions and side missions, but not tracked under assignments ???
Assignments and missions are entirely different things. Missions are, well, missions.
Assignments are little daily goals that reward you for doing specific tasks. You can access them via the FMTEL computer located in Warboard bunkers.
Unfortunately assignments have been broken for months and most of the time you’ll get squat for doing them.
Not talking about FMTEL assignments, sorry my bad! Referring to missions not properly tracking under CHALLENGES.

But if you completed the mission while playing with someone else and you are NOT the host it will not track in challenges.
If this is not the case for you it would be good you wrote more information like:

Sorry no vids or images
Play solo
If your mission progress wasn’t properly tracked by the challenge, then there’s nothing you can do about it outside of starting a new game.
This is yet another reason why missions should be replayable.
