Today the robot armies (and myself) learned a hard and valuable lesson.
They are no match for the Android.
I’m towards the end of moving and I haven’t set up my Xbox at this point. I’ve been messing with a couple mobile games: Albion Online and Survival & Craft: Multiplayer They’re okay. Albion is a typical MMO with its own style and S&C has been fun for me, making a base out of a raft in the middle of the ocean has been interesting.
Like any other crafting game does, S&C got me itching for Ark: Survival Evolved. I decided to try the mobile version (burning garbage). I hate how the controls work and it gave me the idea to look up some Bluetooth controllers for gaming while traveling. Found out the controller I use for my Xbox has Bluetooth built in (not standard for Xbox One controllers, but it is for Series S and X controllers).
I thought I would just be using it as a generic controller, but Samsung store prompted that I had to download a required app to use it. It’s Xbox Game Pass. Which allowed me to log in to my account. Which allowed my to use the cloud gaming. Which showed me that this game using my Android Galaxy S10e is insanely awesome.
I did a few skirmishes why some robots on Himfjall, fighting two large groups of Apoc hunters. No stuttering, lagging, nor any indication that the game was going to have any problems. Super smooth, too. Then I fast traveled to my main base, the first one you get, and did a medium defense mission. I ran through that defense without any of my stuff receiving any damage with the exterior of one floor trap.
I’m maddeningly flabbergasted at how amazing the performance of this game is on a phone using the cloud streaming.
