More lurking robots, please!

Yesterday I took a novel new approach to things, and instead of shooting and/or blowing up everything in sight, I decided to sneak into a location I thought was guarded by a solitary Tank-C.

I was wrong. I was really, really wrong. As the tank reacted to me making noise and sneaking around, it let rip a sick synth solo. The synth-solo was apparently that tank talking to someone, because it was answered by another synth-solo from somewhere behind a two-story house, before a lot of stomping and synth-soloing back and forth started up, and two Tank-C machines were searching for me, while I hid in a garage and tried to not cry because I was out for an exploration stroll and definitely hadn’t brought all the stuff I would need to fight off two tanks. AND IT WAS AWESOME!

So please. Please, please, please. Give me more lurking threats waiting in stand-by mode for something to respond to.

Give me tanks submerged in the harbour somewhere, only activating and starting up a truly pant-shitting moment of fear after I’ve wound up in combat, having to see it come out of the water, stomping towards land.

And as for future robots, please give me sneaky hunters who hunker down and to get close to my position before entering search mode. A Varg-class that hunts in the same manner wolves do, roaming quietly across the terrain, coordinating as a pack, and getting into position before trying to attack.

Great idea. That’s the kind of immersion I would like to see expanded upon as well!
