I’m having trouble joining my friend ever since the landfall update. It says that he has a different version of the game. We both play on ps4. Is there any suggestions?

Acu8895 im having the same issues except we think its due to being in different countries. EX/ if your in america and your friend is in the UK it wont work at least for my but my friend in america can join me we cant play with our friend in the UK it gives us the same different message when we try to join our UK friend and same when he tries to join us.
