There are so many requests for more possibilities in base building and I understand why.
But I think this is not as easy. Cosmetics are one thing. They can always be implemented. But useful stuff as different kinds of walls/gates with different values for strength or more stationarry automatic weapons are more difficult.
Even the implementation of other or more enemies could be difficult. It’s a hard act of balancing. I guess the actual classes of enemies in the waves are choosen wisely, as stronger classes would blast every basestructures with a few shots away.
Just think how devastating a single apoc-hunter could be for your actual base. Flamethrowers against wooden walls… Or their grenades… I guess, that’s the reason why the tanks often have other weapons in base-defence as in normal game.
I too wished there would be more varieties of waves and more to build, variable difficulties depending on your/the bases level and the amount of players. But it could be difficult to be done.
And it is just a part of the game, like an additional minigame in the game. We’ll see, what’s planned.
