Why doesn’t he come without a name and the player can then choose the name he wants to give his companion ingame.

I guess that’s how it works.
Not as free text field to enter a name, but with three dropdowns or lists to create a combined name out of them.

Dang it! Now they’re going to go with the cool guy! I already threw mine in for VYNYM, but you know I’m nowhere as cool you! 
… But in all honestly I still hope that they would go for BELLA! My daughter would go ballistic! Of course we’ll be happy with whatever, to have the companion at all is amazing!!

I’ve edited “Dumbo” and “A.M.E.E.” into the list.
“Dumbo” because of the companion being somewhat dumb… 
And “A.M.E.E.” as a reference to the catlike robot seen in the movie Red Planet.
(A.M.E.E. stands for “Autonomous Mapping Exploration and Evasion”)
I always thought those Runners reminded me of something I had seen before…

I love A.M.E.E.!!! I think that fits really well!
We are getting ~21 new companion names, spread over the three columns. From what I heard on the stream I don’t think any of the 
names we suggested will be among them. 
But we never know…
Would it be possible to add ‘Toby’ to the name list please?
It is the name of the robot dog from the 2000AD storyline Halo Jones: Toby | Albion British Comics Database Wiki | Fandom
Fond memories of that story and Toby was quite the plot twist
