Never trust anyone. Craft extra blast resistant jacket

Hello,

I have followed this Walkthrough and i have the schematic, i have all the pieces needed including a quality 1 blast resistant jacket but i can’t craft this extra blast resistant jacket.

  • Go to Bordil’s house at Overbytorp.
  • Find the schematic in Overbytorp.
  • Collect 8 pieces of adhesive.
  • Collect 24 pieces of steel.
  • Collect 8 pieces of rubber.
  • Craft a blast-resistant jacket (quality 1)
  • Drop off the extra blast-resistant jackets in the Ringfort.

I have defeated 4 Rivals ranging from level 1-3 but i can’t find any schematic points when i loot them. Looks like i am missing 2 points. Am i missing something here?

EDIT: Just defeated a level 2 rival and on the screen it said that i got 1 Apparel schematic point but nothing changed when i go to the schematics page. Still have -2

Don’t you get apparel schematic crafting points by crafting apparel?

I don’t know this new shit very much.
I found the 1c and 2c schematics in the world, 3c to 5c of each came from loot… good old days…

You get them automatically when you get a killing shot on a Rival. In your screenshot you currently have 44 apparel schematic points.

Ok,
When i killed a rival,I got one point it said on the screen but i still have (-2)44.

I would have guessed that after that one point it would say (-1)44 but it’s still (-2)

Sorry i don’t understand how this works!

The -1 and -2 indicate how many Shcematic Points it costs to purchase the schamtic, not how much you have. The amount you have is on the right, in this its 44. To get the schamtic points as well, you must land a killing blow on the rival.

I am so thankful I found and looted all the apparel schematics before the new system went into play. That just looks mind boggling and more complex.

Ok. Killing blow?
I mean i kill the rivals and i loot them so what more do i have to do?

Killing blow as in you must be the one to kill it. For example in MP if you damage a rival a lot but dont kill it, you wont get the Schematic Point for some reason, im not sure if its intentional or not but it makes it a lot harder to get these points. Also i think the reason you cannot buy the Blast Resistance Jacket Tier 2 is because you are missing the Tier version of the Fire Resistance Jacket, but this shouldnt be affecting your mission as you have the tier 1 version to Blast Resistance unlocked allowing you to progress your mission by crafting any jacket with the buff.

You have 44 points to unlock schematics.
Cost of unlocking schematic is 2 points (-2).
So you have plenty of points to unlock.

Weirdly there is lock icon on the buy button, when you clearly have Tier 1 Blast-Resistant Jacket unlocked. You should be able to buy Tier 2 or even Tier 3 easily.

Collected and looted all schematics before this research style unlocking tree update came.

The mission objective says : :heavy_check_mark: Craft a blast-resistant jacket (quality 1)

Maybe you need to do this: Go to the Överbytorp Apparel crafting Station

Choose a jacket that has no upgrade on it yet. Then View Schematics.
Then choose the 1* Blast-resistant Jacket and craft it.

:heavy_check_mark: Drop off the extra blast-resistant jackets in the Ringfort
For extra 1* blast-resistant jackets, repeat with other jackets that also haven’t got upgrades on them yet. But you do not have to craft them for the mission. Just go to the ringfort, and talk with Veronika.
