I think the devs made a good decision to make something for all platforms instead of something for one platform, and from what I saw many people appreciated this little extra surprise. Even Tene was hyped.

Rightfully so. I’m an old guy. I don’t usually give 2 craps about cosmetic stuff in any game and I think those skins look damn good and will likely use them when / if I pick them up as loot.

I am an old guy too, retired, but still love to play games like GZ, because i can do it on my own pace. Skins aren’t too important to me either, but I still think it’s a cool (optional) addition. I will sure collect and equip them. Why not, hé. 
I just bought the new Uncharted game, which is a Tomb Raider-like genre, which I really like. Years ago I watched all gameplay video’s of this franchise, when it was still an PS-exclusive. But now it finally came to PC too.

I dont either care much for skins but these are looking really promising!
I hope we in the future can get some customization options for the iron sights also, for example the super bright red on the experimentals are no good at all. Would be nice to have the option to tweak the color/brightness.

I’d have issues if the skins were paid DLC or had some kind of extra mechanic attached to that (if paid). But for free? Why not! They look great. They may not add to game play in any way, but also don’t take anything away. And you’ll be looking at your gun as you play, so having it look cool is a nice visual bonus, even if it’s ultimately of no consequence.
Hats off to the artist(s) for this. They did great work.
I may be a little behind you guys, but I think it’s cool that we all play Geriatri… erm I mean, Generation Zero. 
Same. The AG-4 is kind of the end-game gun most will be using. To have the skin not work on that gun would be a grave oversight.
Perhaps that’s why there’s no skin for the .50 cal coming since the experimental rail gun version is a modified model of the base gun.

I don’t think that a skin for the AG-4 will fit the experimental one. Same for the shotgun.
You’re right, it’ll be sad if the most used guns won’t get skins from the start, but on the other hand most updates in the last time were for beginners, not for those who already have everything. And additionally those who already have everything maybe will start using less good weapons again to see their skins and to bring back a little challenge to their game.

Yeah I’ve really stopped using experimental weapons. I just use 5 crown and below now. I enjoy the challenge.
I would hold my breath on this new weapon skin concept not becoming a paid pack.
The trend has shown more and more that packs are sort of the main idea now.
I used to joke that they would start going down the route of constant pack years ago.

I enjoy buying dlc if they offer something that is actually useable like the weapon packs but if they sold skin packs I personally wouldn’t purchase it cause it doesn’t add anything actually able to be used. I would buy a new weapon pack that came with skins for the weapons though.

Hopefully there are skins for the bikes and motorcycles, not just plain color ways. And imagine if we could choose skins for the different enemies. Make them easier to spot when they’re hiding in the trees and bushes.
I doubt it, but seeing a harvester that is bright nail polish Pink would be hilarious

i guess thats cool. but robots skin is the worst idea. you @Skynet_Disco this is not fortnite or roblox where you can customize everthing, thats very stupid idea.
gun skins are good idea but they have to fit, to make it sure is not that futuristic because this game is made for being look like old weapons and its 1980 maybe im wrong with that age.

Cataclysm day started at Nov 10th 1989, so almost the 1990s. But indeed the skins should fit the era the game is in.
I mean, there are still the 10 other base game weapons they haven’t shown yet, but if you ask me I think the 6th skin is possibly either still being finished or not being listed in order to surprise us.
