Ehm did you missunderstand how to create the vote or do I missunderstand something?

Hmmm… Let me see… 42 … :sunglasses:

Ah, you have been reading “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. :sunglasses:

I would think you would want to test the weapon with each ammo to see which is the best for your style of play. And for me, I would test the ammo I already carry first and then test other ammos as I collect them.

I do have a question for those that carry one. Do you collect all the ammo the gun uses, as per the new way the game favors the weapons you carry, just for carrying it?

No. Just 7.62.
I use a pvg and HP5, too, so 9mm and 0.50 are guaranteed too.
For .270 I also have to carry an Ă„lgstudsare.

If you want to use the soviet 9.39, you will need to carry an at-wad to get ammo from loot.

I voted for 9x39, .270 and .243. Havent tried any exotic ammo as I dont have much of the ammo due to at first not having uranium and now the refined BS needed to craft them.

I love that people are trolling this poll with the 9x39 and .270 ammo, both of which are objectively the worst ammo in the game.

Care to elaborate with your expert opinion?

Nope.

Also not a fan of the Ai76. Worst gun in the game.

I’m no friend of the at-wad and the 9x39 ammo, too.
Tested it just for a short time. And the ammo just for a short time on my exp ai76, too. It’s not my way.
I love it with 7.62, but for hard targets I pick the .270, which seems to be almost as strong as the .50, but with way less recoil… And 30 shots per magazine, which means no reload while Shooting down an apoc hunter.

The ai76 itself… I like it. There was a time, before I got my exp AG4, where I used it with rapidly firing in burst mode for Killing the big machines. Later I prefered the exp AG4 because of the greater scope in general.

So, they aren’t bad, but it depends highly on how you play them.

I figured as much.

Worst gun…far from it “IMO”.

@Madchaser …the 9x39 seems to be much better than standard sub 9mm in the Exp 76…to me anyway. Hated the at-wad from the first time I tried it.

The Exp 76 is a good weapon when you want to take as less as possible and still have a range of firepower at your disposal. Like you said it all depends on your play style too. I think most of the experimentals are just fun weapons to play around with. The only ones I go to serious battle with is the Exp PVG, the Exp 59 for crowd control and now the Exp HP5. But thats my play style. Like in real life most weapons have a specific use on the battlefield.

I certainly dont crap on someones choices or for wanting the know peoples general consensus on things.

No, you’re right. The AT-WAD is objectively worse than the AI76. I prefer the AG5 for assault rifles. By build, I prefer the PVG90 because I’m a sniper, but only the 5c, because augments changed the game and the extra power of the 6c pales in comparison to several augments, like Titan Toppler, Unstoppashells, and, situationally, Sharpshooter. For raw firepower, I’ll take the Exp KVM59 Lightning Gun. And when I need to make sure that it dies because it’s too close, the Exp HP5 is so much fun.

I don’t use many experimental weapons anymore. Augments are versatile, and make the game more interesting. Thunderhammer is the only other one I endorse.

Take my opinions with a grain of salt, but I have a lot of play time on two different systems under my belt. And I have experimented with all the weapons to determine which ones work best. Still not a fan of the AI76, but only because there are MUCH better guns in the game to use that are just as easy to get.

Lvl25 + Rival = 4c drops reliably.
Lvl30 + Rival = 5c drops reliably.
Lvl40 + Rival = Experimentals (mostly clothing, but more weapons than 30+)

You should have whatever weapon you want by level 50 at 5c or 6c, as you prefer. And it doesn’t matter which one that is. Play as you like. I don’t pay your subscriptions, as they say. Feel free to ignore my advice.

you can get around 60 refined aluminum from a hard base defence, that’s a LOT of 9mm shock

“Ai76. Worst gun in the game.”

“The AT-WAD is objectively worse.”

If opinions could be wrong, this is it :joy:

I disagree. Any of the pistols and shotguns are the worst in the game

Seriously- although I wouldn’t say that they’re the worst, the fact that they don’t mount a 1-4 scope or a vision module places them at a great disadvantage, particularly at night- and this game has long periods of darkness. It’s on that basis that, while I have augmented 5 crown versions of each, I usually prefer either the AG4, AG5, or N16 in that order. IMHO, it would have been far better for the devs to have made 1-4 scopes and vision modules available on both the AI- 76 and the AT Wad, and then adjust the damage, handling, and / or ammunition capacity accordingly.

Yea that does annoy me that you can’t put scopes on either one of them, would definitely make them a lot better and more flexible, especially the new ai-76

Yeah, just make all guns equal, except the ammo, fire rate, model and skin, then none has advantages or disadvantages and just to the taste of the players.
Well, it’s a bit exaggerated, but just to express what I think about that.

I stay at my opinion that it’s a good descition.
Otherwise all other automatic guns should get a burst mode, too, don’t they?

The guns have in general different purposes and therefore it’s good to have these differences. I would even go that far to say that many other weapons, especially the DLC weapons, should also have more differences regarding the attachments. None at all or attachments just for one gun are bad, same goes for an ammo type just for one weapon.

In the end they missed some chances to give us more options for what we have, without giving us total freedom. And on the other hand some options are too exclusive.

Too many weapons can choose between a barrel extension and a silencer… Which are just bound to a category of guns, not a certain gun.

Then there are scopes for different categories… With exceptions for some weapons like ai76. It doesn’t matter that much, there are other options. But what about the handgun scope? Just one option (magnus). Why not also the Iron Condor?

Extended magazines on the other hand are unique for each gun? Why didn’t they make them like the barrel extensions… For each category one?

Then there are are even attachments which in fact just are for one certain gun. The com10 silencer for example. Why?

Another bad descition is the weapons weights. Every weapon has 2kg. Except the minigun? Why?
And also just the minigun reduces the walk/run speed.

You see. There (in my eyes) are other problems.
Problems that will never be touched again.

Edited the original post so the poll shows there instead. You’d have to redo any votes, if you want.
But, thread structure makes more sense now. Also moved to General Discussion.

I’m gonna have to give a vote for .50 BMG. The raw damage output is just crazy, and with some practice the weapon can become a semi automatic beast.
