Hi… I want to play the game with a friend in the future. Is it normal that we can not find any games instructions?.. or maybe a keyboard layout?.. sorry for my bad grammar. I hope you understand what I mean… :)’
But I thought, there is a manual or something to download with the instructions inside… mmh…
The time of manuals for video-games ended about 20 years ago, I think.
There is a light tutorial. I played it without any other instructions. It is not needed.
Edit: I corrected boo boo.
I’m not sure it adds pages, @Gysbert. I think they are all available at the beginning. I already have entries about base building and base defense.
Yes, you are right, I made a booboo. Tutorial pages are only added when new mechanics/weapons/etc are added to the game. So for me it felt that they were added as I went through the game.
If you download it on steam or another launcher… but I prefer a Disc if possible, but I accept a download, but other games have a light instruction page, so that I do understand how maybe crafting works or maybe a simple keyboard layout… I think thats not too much to ask… mmhh…
Yes, indeed.
In earlier times it was almost standard.
Today there is the internet. Today games try to be exciting by let you experimenting how to control the game and how the features work. Today many publishers just don’t think about that. There often is some kind of tutorial inside the game but in general… Why making a describtion for the x’th titel of a kind of game where the standard controls are the same for 15 years now?
In MY day we had to insert the disc to play and we LIKED it! We had to use DOS commands to even start it! There was no internet! We had to play by ourselves! And then you were called a NERD!!
Other than the std keys to control the character it has been a lot more fun to learn and explore this game without to much instructions. In the cast of GZ, to many instructions would be considered spoilers and even cause you to miss discovering ways to use things in the game.
As far a keyboard lay out, you can change them in “key binding” in the setting when you start the game. It also tells you what key does what. Your results may vary.
Who has a disk player anymore?
I had to buy a peripheral, have used it, too.
