In general it’s in the game, not in your system.

But to be sure:
You use steam. Which OS do you have?
What about processor and ram?
SSD or HDD?
GPU and graphic settings?

Now to the game:
How does your map look like?
Are there many fnix controlled bases? How many?

You may have encountered some more issues. Repeating sounds, missing explosions, closed doors and loot boxes, gnomes in the houses, many many ticks or something else…

At the end, there is nothing you can do but to reduce the fnix controlled bases or wait for next hotfix / update.

Tried joining multiplayer games last night, after clicking on “Find Game” it would say connecting to host, then blank screen and crash back to windows desktop screen. First time I have had issues with it crashing on multiplayer screen. After 3 tries, I played on my own map with other players joining and no issues with crashing. Even though some of the joining players would crash out of my map and pop right back in.

Did find a game yesterday afternoon with a map with every one of the control points taken over by FNIX. Did not stick around to see how often it crashed but the day was full of playing on multiplayer maps for a few minutes and the game crashing. Wasn’t a fun day to play multiplayer GZ.

Hey buddy, I just had my game crash on PC with the same event ID 1000. I found your response interesting. So too many FNIX controlled bases can be an issue? I definitely have a few. I’m thinking like 5 or 6 bases. There may be more, but I guess, I need to wipe some of them out then? I did notice that I hear sounds in the middle of nowhere, like a tank in an open area. It scares the crap out of me, but there’s nothing there, just the sound. Could that be an indicator as well?

Yes, could be an indicator for too much load.
