Platform:
Both players are PC, GZ installed through Steam, identical DLC (everything). Host is Win11, Guest is Win10.
Description:
In our multiplayer game, placed items such as gas tanks, fuel cells, and car batteries are not visible to the other player. The items are there, because a shotgun blast to the general place where we know a dropped item is will detonate the item. But the other player (who did not drop the item) cannot see the item before hitting it, and after hitting it they will not hear the explosion or see the burn marks. Dropped loot in a backpack is visible the other player, and so are flares, fireworks, and companions. But detonatable items are not visible.
Steps To Reproduce:
See screenshots for details. We cannot remembner exactly when this problem began, but we suspect it happened around the time we added the Showdown update.
- We tried having both host and guest drop items, same problem.
- We tried swapping roles, with the typical guest hosting a game instead, same problem.
- We tried new worlds and characters, same problem.
- We checked that our graphics settings matched (resolution, WIndows scaling, dynamic resolution, detail presets).

Host or Client:
THe issue occurs for both host and client. It also occurs when roles are reversed, and with new worlds and new characters.
Players in your game:
Always 2. We have not tried this with outside players, just the two of us.
Specifications:
Host machine is Windows 11 with Nvidia GTX 1660.
Guest machine is Windows 10 PC with Nvidia GTX 1060.
Any help greatly appreciated! Not being able to see placed gas tanks is making it hard to do a lot of strategic trap-setting!
Best,
