Please do not destroy all the settlements, and keep the empty spaces between POI's

One of my favorite aspects of GZ is the ability to enter buildings and hide from machines. Neighborhoods become min-dungeons where many houses are safe havens from the machines prowling the streets. I think it would definitely be interesting to see smaller machines try to root you out once you were discovered, but dipping in to hide never gets old for me. I can imagine hiding in a bathroom from some machine reaching in a broken window with a scanner on it’s arm or head, breathing a sigh of relief when it clanks away.

I’ve noticed that previous updates and region revamps have destroyed houses and added an apocalyptic feel to some areas. This is great in moderation. I just want to cast my vote to keep plenty of buildings and areas that are not completely war torn. It’s a unique vibe to be in an empty settlement, scavenging for radios, etc. and to be able to see machines from outside the window walking through town.

Also, with new POI’s being added, the maps feel more dense. This is great as well, but I want to make the argument that the distance between points of interest and the sudden lethality of an encounter really solidifies the amazing pacing of GZ. “Oh shit” moments are the spice of the traveling experience I think.

I like having to travel long distances to a new settlement through the forest, and then scavenge, maybe find a point where machines destroyed something and keep going. This game has a sense of adventure that I can’t get anywhere else, please don’t take it away by adding too many icons on the map.

It makes sense for some buildings to be walled off from the player, but the promise of a few hiding spots and many houses to loot is one of my favorite things about GZ.

Anyway, more of a keep on keeping on request than anything, but I felt it needed to be said nonetheless. There’s a lot of great things about this game, and the more I play the more I hope that it doesn’t go in the direction of so many other shooters.

TLDR: Please, keep the awesome intact houses and the forests, thanks.
