making ticks explode after a while seems kinda cheap, I would like to see then runnig around and keeping figthing till the end.

Well its like a last resort thing as the ticks fuel cell has run out of juice and anyway thats only when they are spawned from tick pods
Yeah but at least make then last longer, is kinda pointless towaste ammo on then if they are gonna to selfdestruct anyway.

I think at least they should extend the time ticks remain active before exploding.
