Please give me a baseball bat to smash ticks

Some sort of melee weapon would be nice, using baseball bats or shovels to smash ticks or fend off the runners when they charge would be nice. Also I would definitely have fun smashing TVs and cars with it.

I’d love that if this wouldn’t happen:

Ticks do ranged damage - even through doors

Platform: PC Description: Tick does jump attack, I shoot it 1-2 m before it reaches me, I take damage. Tick does jump attack although door is not open (only ajar), hits door (from the other side) 1-2 m in front of me, I take damage. Steps to reproduce: Play the game. Imagine smashing ticks in the air during their jump attack. Oh boy!
