Since polls suddenly became popular, I thought it would be fun to see how long you’ve all been playing Generation Zero! If you want, leave a comment on what made you decide to play GZ. :+1:

I was playing TheHunter: COTW back in 2018, and I heard rumors about a new game from the same developers. After watching GZ’s first trailer, I was sold! Pre-ordered the game, and here I am still, almost 2 years later.

I started with GZ week after GZ’s launch back in the end of March '19.

I first saw GZ Beta gameplay video from Youtube and from there, i saw two key aspects that made me to buy it: very similar story to Deus Ex and plentiful ammo in loot boxes.

I love the conspiracy story in Deus Ex (it’s one of my all time favorite games) and GZ’s story is also about conspiracy. And for 2nd; in every shooter-like game i’ve played so far (including Deus Ex), ammo is always the main constraint and you have to count your bullets. :confounded: I don’t like that and since in ammo is plentiful in GZ, it appealed me.

Though, i don’t like playing fast-paced shooter games due to my poor reaction time. I like when i have plenty of time to plan and execute my attack, which i have in GZ.

I got tired of the grind in Destiny and Anthem. Went looking for something to play and found GZ. Love it and during covid times it keeps me safe indoors lol. I like that we first start this game you are the prey being hunted. Then the journey to becoming a hunter happens, or you become frustrated and quit lol

I saw the game at its initial release, but the “mixed” reviews on steam + the large quantity of bugs kept me alway till that huge bug fix update came out. I was very interested in a FPS game that was a solo experience. (I know it was intended for co-op, but I played through it solo). I’ve been playing GZ periodically since I finished the story, but Generation Zero is definitely on my list of favorite games!

Poll9: It took me a while to know the date I first played. I had to view my purchase history to find the actual date. March 29 2020. :compass:

I played in the beta but didn’t get the game until a month after release.
