Ps4 pro console playing solo. I have around 70ish hours in game. The 1st bug is the fact that the mini map constantly zooms in by itself and there is no way to stop it. This is a permeant bug.
The 2nd bug is that when I stop moving my character the cross hairs slowly move up and to the left or right till I’m looking at the sky and slowly spinning. It is not controller drift. I have 2 controllers and it does it with both. No other game does this. Also permanent.
3rd I don’t know if this is a bug or intended but apocalypse hunter rivals 1-4 levels drop worse loot then a normal military Hunters. Example level 4 rival: 4-11 adhesive, a 2-3 crown kvm 89, 4-22 random ammo. I repeated this test 5 times on level 4 apoc hunter rivals as well as several times with other lower levels as well. All done on himfjäll. This maybe intended I do not know. All other types of rivals drop loot appropriate for their class. I know good loot is meant to be rare and that’s fine.
As for the first 2 bugs to recreate just log in on a ps4 pro console it’s a constant issue and has never stopped.
The last bug is control points disappearing from the map, although logging out and back in fixes it and it only happened once in 70ish hours. Not a big deal on that one. Only the first 2 bugs are a real problem. Drives me crazy.
The first two “bugs” are both caused by the behaviour of the right stick. Really sounds like a stick drift.
I have this too in a light way, but in most games you can adjust the sensitivity, like in Generation Zero, too.
Try to clean your controllers to remove dust that could cause a drift.
The third issue, with the hunter rivals, I experienced, too. It’s not just with apoc versions, but with every other class, too.
There is a chance for an experimental item, but in total the loot often is worse than of some normal hunters.
As stated above. It’s the controller. I have two. One works perfect in all games. The other has the drift in gen z and in a few other games like Cities Skylines where the drift is worse. In most games I play it’s not noticeable. But non the less the right stick is the problem.
Good to know, I couldn’t remember what kind of loot I got on other hunter rival types as I don’t kill them anywhere but on the dlc island to keep the score high in the areas with control points.
I cleaned both controllers. I was sure it wasn’t drift since it was doing it with both and only this game, but seems I was wrong. It didn’t stop the spinning but did help. The constant zooming on mini map did in fact mostly stop which was the main issue. I’ve had drift on a Xbox 360 controller before so I knew what it was, but I’d always try a dif game and if it did it on more than one that’s how I knew what it was in the past. Though I tested 10 other games. No drift. There must be something in the coding that makes it an issue with this game. How I have no idea. Thanks for the help.
Maybe it’s up to the default sensitivity of other games.
You might be right. I know some coding but for websites not games. (C++ code) So I have no clue. Though I’m man enough to admit I was wrong and it was drift. Been gaming over 20 years and this is the first time I seen drift only effect one game. Oh well, now I know it can. I hate to report bugs that aren’t bugs. Developers have enough to deal with. That type of coding has to be a hard job for sure.
