My wife and I have been having this issue with the PS4 version for sometime now, we are both on LAN but for some reason the game keeps dropping the server she makes as well as mine, and this happens every 10-15 minutes of game time. This issue has actually been going on for 2 years now, even though we’ve moved and swapped to a different Internet provider, we are still having this issue 2 years later. My wife and I LOVE this game, but it’s been a huge hassle for us to play. We check back from time to time to see if the issue is resolved after some updates, but it’s still as terrible and issue as it has always been. We restart the game, make a new private server, and it just goes down after 10-15 minutes. It’s really frustrating, was wondering if anyone else has had this issue?
And yes, we have reset our router and modem.
Have you tried a new game from scratch?(i suppose yes but had to ask).
Both of you try to do it from a new game with fresh savedata, dont delete the old one, just create a new world and a new character.
It seems a corrupted save or “world” to me, but im no expert.
Good luck.
Completely restarted characters and worlds, did a full data dump of the game so we start fully from scratch, and it still crashes the server. It doesn’t happen with any other games but Generation Zero. I don’t have this issue with their other games like the Call of the Wild games.
First: there are no Servers.
Just hosts and clients.
My first thought was: what’s your nat-type?
Additionally check your firewall ports. There are some adviced ports you should allow for your playstation.
Then, be sure to run the game from internal memory, no usb-drive.
Try not to use motorbikes and companions and shockammo.
My wife and I as well as our group we game with all picked the game up recently. We all fell in love with the game right away. After all who doesn’t like the idea of an 80’s rock band fighting giant homicidal robots! However we have all been having this same issue. We all get kicked all the time. We have basically stopped playi g as a group and usually pair up.seems to happen less when its just two people in a party. I have seen this problem mentioned all over this forum, i dont see however any response from the dev team on when they are going to try to address this situation. I understand you are a small team, but please address this soon as i dont think my group will keep beating their heads against the wall trying to party up to kill some robots. Please devs give us some feedback on this issue and so.e hope for the future.
They give a feedback every week in the dev stream.
Every wednesday, 16.00 CEST, on YouTube and Twitch.
