Question about bug reports

Do you think it matters if I make bug reports for

  • quest-related collectibles (a map) being “pickable” from the other side of a wall
  • useless “Read” prompts still visible once a note has already be picked up, and the note is not on the table anymore?

I had a third graphic bug (fuse box on fire being creating a “heat distortion” VFX on the other side of the wall too), but I think I won’t report that one.

I would rather keep playing the game instead of writting a useful and detailed bug report. (Especially with the “Known Issues” article having disappeared today on support.generationzero.com.

I would say play the game, have fun and don’t focus too much on bugs. The game is wonderful. There are plenty of people who will report bugs anyway.

Are you sure? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll focus on playing the game, but I’ll keep recording my playthroughs and edit some videos with LosslessCut. If I ever feel like it, I’ll write a bunch of bug reports all at once.

Thanks!

Try to limit the bug-reports to really gamebreakings bugs, like the weapon wheel for controller users because that need to be addressed. The glitching door of the hovercraft, I seen it and made use of it to look further then I normally could, but I did not come up in my mind to report it. But I have seen the glitch mentioned by multiple people.

I prefer to concentrate on enjoying the game to the fullest, not to add to the endless stream of trivial bugs and glitches.

Like @Gysbert said many glitches are already reported. Look through the threads before reporting holes or something like the missing hover craft door. I do same thing as you and screenshot glitches (+ map to have location) and unless it breaks the game like falling through a hole then just play on 'cause the game is so much fun.

When you had a good time playing and cool down then think again if any of the issues you had was problematic enough to do a full bug report. Special interests topics like “floating objects” thread my exist and perhaps get interns to fix them during sommer, who knows.

Taking time to help each other as well here in the forum is a nice thing to do. Help replicating the problem and confirm an issue when someone starts a new thread just like people have done in previous posts still helpful today.
