Im played this game for only a few days but Im confused about the difficulty of the enemies. As I understand it you will encounter harder enemies as you go further into the map. But Im at the Munken bunker and Ive already swarmed with high level enemies. Right outside I have 2 military Tanks and about 5 class C hunters and a number of dogs. And Ive only got two star weapons. I lurked the tank into a trap of 4 land mines and 8 gas canisters which did about 12% on 1 tank. But the hunters which fire gas grenades every 2 seconds and the tanks firing rockets with no reload time as I understand they should have. Ive shoot like 60 bullets on 1 hunters rifle arm and its still on. AND this is on the “adventure” setting.
Every time I meet an tank there is also an hunter with gas grenades so if I try to hide in cover they just gas me. And if I try to stay mobile the tank just lob grenades at me nonestop. And drops of gear. Ive taken down a military tank with the mechanic perk and no visual aids. Not got a single one of those yet. Considering the high tier enemies Ive already encountered and managed to kill and the gear they drop is the same as what I encounter in the over and over boxes looting.

And like now. There is an hunter next to an big gas tank. and I put 40 rounds of AK4 into the tank and there is nothing. It doesnt blow.
As it is now. The mission “A girl that cried wolf” is not possible to do. This is the fifth time I try it now. This last time I counted before I died. 2 C tanks. 1 B tank and 9 level C hunters .
Like wtf.

While the game doesn’t force you to do the regions in the difficulty order, there still is difference in difficulty between regions.
From least to most difficult: Archipelago -> Farmlands -> Forest -> South Coast -> Mountains -> Marshlands -> North Coast -> Himfjäll.
Though, depending on play style, some regions can be more difficult than others. For example, to me, Mountains is far more difficult than Marshlands and North Coast.

Land mines and gas canisters are almost useless against Tanks, They work better against Hunters, and if they “fix” the current Harvesters missiles speed and range, they will be once again useful against them, until that, i advise you to not use those tactics against Tanks and Harvesters.
Harvesters now deploy Hunter reinforcements so before engaging the Harvester shoot down all Hunters, more will appear after you begin your attack against an Harvester.
Kalleby town (the girl that cried wolf i believe?) is surrounded by hunters and Tanks, after the latest update, the best thing you can do is to lure the hunters and runners, destroy them away from the Tanks and Harvesters, and then take care of one at a time, if you have the Pvg90 use it against them.
as said above, difficulty changes depending on the region, but are there enemies you can handle and others take more time. First of all depending on your loadout you can face different threats, eg: you said 2 stars you are surely with a hunting rifle and a shotgun or low tier assault rifle, most enemies need to be faced closely, hunters are easier to handle when you are close to them because this will trigger them to jump to you with a knife attack, run towards him to avoid it and shoot his back, behind his “torso” where there is a power cell. If you are face to face with a hunter shoot vents on sides of the head, look kinda cooling system.
Until you get higher tier weapons (4 stars at least) i would suggest avoiding combat with Fnix tanks (class C), and any tank armed with a railgun, if you get hit by that is 90 damage.Try avoiding Fnix hunters, can deal with them but those sticky nades are tricky, and of course run from Apocalypse hunters.
Hope this can help a bit, dont doubt asking more questions.
There are random Tanks with railguns now? Or was that a mistake?
While tanks can have sniper rifle, i have yet to see one equipped with it.
As far as “railgun” goes, Linear Accelerator is mixed up with railgun on many occasions. And there aren’t that many tanks with Linear Accelerator in the game either. Only two tanks, one in vanilla island, another in Himfjäll, where both are mission specific tanks.
I have found a few out there but they are very rare. First one a saw it scared the shit out of me cause i wasnt expecting such a blow.
The tanks range with thier rockets are crazy long too. In the Munken bunker I left out the back only to face some hunters. And when they engaged me the tanks on the other side of the mountain was able to track me with pinpoint accuracy. But sadly now Im stuck with the glowing bright light and fog mess in the southern region. Its sad after the huge amount of grid work to reach that place only to be stopped with an bug. But from I gather you thats been playing since the beginning are very use to the bugs.
Guess Ill go back to farmlands and hope they fix the bug soon.
Thanks for the tips btw.
