Is the new hotfix on consoles yet? I saw something on a tiny piece of Reddit in a google search, but I dont really know for sure.
Yes it is since Last week.

There actually is a Gnome in the update, on the north western side of the new island. One gnome with one loot action only, but it does respawn within the same time period as a toolbox or ammo box.

Last but not least the gnome is totally unrelated to the hotfix.
