Ok so i found Marden bunker(ty google) and i powered up the generator and then i went back to get the warboard when suddenly as i got to the stairs the lights suddenly went out and i had to go back and restart the generators and then i went to do that then a bunch of ticks spawned when i got to the button and i died 
Idk if its just a me thing or what but sorta annoying
That’s actually a scripted sequence and not a bug. The Ticks prepare a trap when you restore the power. I encountered it myself recently, so I know the feeling. For future encounters, I recommend a Shotgun with birdshot shells to deal with the pesky Ticks.
