Got Reaper spawn, so decided to put Reaper vs. Firebird match going. Hoping they would deal with that thing eventually.
Lured Firebird to fight Reaper, cleaned out all other FNIX machines so it was just Reaper versus Firebird when this happened.
Firebird was stuck flying back and forward, and Reaper was just aiming Firebird. Both machines didnt shoot each other like in start of the fight they did.
I could freely pick up components of from Reaper. Only after certain damage done to Reaper it would trigger the blast.
And same weird frozen AI state did not break from this blast. Even walked next to Reaper and it jumped to normal mode. And when runned away from Reaper, returned back to this frozen AI state.
Looked like both machines where stuck in some sort of decision loop, what to do next indefinitely.
Reaper where just standing on the spot in screenshot, Firebird was just flying back and forward between position in screenshots.

I had almost the same situation just once in a battle between a reaper and three wolves in a coop session, east of the crater.
Yeah, I have had reapers go into “sleep” mode too. Can pound away at them and they don’t move.

Lately reapers have been docile. Had one spawn in south coast but next time I started game it had teleported inside the weird base up north west (Norrmyra artillery maybe?). It just stod there and we could shot it. Didn’t spawn in any runners and started shooting back only when it was at maybe 30%>
We’ve got similar situation yesterday where we could see an interesting pattern.
A common Firebird (no matter which class) is usually quite aggressive - it targeted us immediately and started shelling us as much as it could, planted tons of bombs and traps and generally the fight was fun.
OTOH, when we approached Rival Firebird (three times actually), it remained docile, watching us with its angry red eye and let itself be destroyed without firing a single shot.
We did not see similar pattern elsewhere.
Also Firebird model is somewhat broken as well, it’s clipping in and out of picture all the time unless we are very close.
Draw distance always was about 400m.
I don’t know if it changed.
If it’s further away, it’s possible that it disappears and appears while moving around.
