Rectangle overlay when intoxicated

Regular bug I am encountering where a rectangle would appear when the toxic/gas effect is applied to my character, not sure if this is intentional.

Playing on 2560x1440 resolution

I have this also with 3440 x 1440, I assumed when I first saw it that it was due to the monitor size/ratio.

I play on Xbox one and I get that some times but I also don’t get it other times… Maybe that overlay is meant to be on the edges of the screen instead of the center?
