i bought the game recently without knowing too much about it. i saw a few videos on it in 2019 on youtube but aparently the rivals got updatet.
Now i found my first rivals on the map next too norra saltholmen, so far no problem (maybe some trouble killing them). but when i went to the ‘main land’ or whatever you call it i found out that alot of the ‘big robots’ arent shown on the map anymore.
can i consider them as rivals or are they just wandering robots like dogs or hunters that wander around, because they are pretty hard too kill sometimes. or is this a bug?
It’s this. All machines, unless marked with the Rival icon on the map and Rival name above them when you target them with your crosshair, are regular enemies wandering around.
ok thx, so probably no special loot like experimental stuff? or is it worth killing them for another reason. because now it takes alot of resources to kill them
Basically, if you’re not seeing rivals in that region, you’ve not been really present in that area. Rivals appear after a certain point when killing machines in the region. The regions have levels with more and more probability to spawn in Rivals.
For some technicalities on how Rivals work gameplay wise -
Tenebris Infinite
If you wanna know what I think lore-wise
Hope these help. There’s also some posts you could search right here on forums to figure at which levels what kind of exp drops you get and written guides.
Is there anything of yours I could watch without having even left the Archipelago, or should I leave it all alone til I finish the game (in, like three years or so^^)?
Subscribed anyway, for later.
Well, my next video is a hour long that goes through the events and covers every section in it’s own order. It will be meant for incremental watching for those interested in specific sections to skip to timeframes, but none of it holds back from spoiling things. I just assume mostly everyone goes through the basis, but then I step in and explain what the hell they were experiencing.
The main story itself is not too long to go through, but is the longest from the DLC ones. This Rivals one was specifically just about the one topic, which didn’t make me go in story details, but more about a specific element… Then again, I don’t feel I have anything else story-wise to cover the same way I did with Rivals
Don’t watch these videos, so to not spoil yourself just yet! Thank you for the sub, tho! It’s actually cool people appreciate what I have to say, since I usually have trouble explaining what I’m on about… Thanks
