Road details, road signs, snow sticks removed in newer builds

Why are they removed? i went back to the older game builds and enjoy the old vibe of GZ only to see that these things have been removed, speed signs, snow sticks and other visual detail along the roads. Maybe a bug or a design choice, or “optimization” (can’t wait for this post to be removed because “oooh he went back to older builds” sayin’ ahh) EDIT: holy shit they gotta role back a lot of updates, what has happened to this game, daaaaamn.

Here’s some screenshots from the release build of them being there

and here’s the same spot in todays build

Not only that but for example weapon rattling sounds when walking or running has been removed or muted or made very quiet, also a weird choice, i know most people wont care, because what’s most important is more weapon dlc’s and stuff… there’s more examples i can give to stuff that has been removed or been broken for no reason or unknown reasons, such as ambient music playing on top of each other sometimes. No wonder i find the release build more immersive at times.

Man I do not like when small details like this gets removed, I would love to know why stuff like this gets removed randomly, There are other cases like this all over the map which is a real bummer.

Yess, vegetation has been toned down and now at times the map feels a little tooo open, like some mountains have random bald spots (prolly to make place for dumb FNIX outposts) or make it clear to where to go because some folk can’t search without needing someone holding their hand every step of the way.

Beautiful, if only they didn’t add in stuff we don’t need like the companion or more and more FNIX outposts and weapon micro dlc’s and other UI “improvements” that just add more bugs and make the game more cluttered.

the disc version PS4 without updates is still a nice looking version, but way more difficult gameplay, no experiment weapons, tanks & harvesters  very frustrating to fight

Just the way it should be, now a days gz is way to easy and dull. before there was fear before going into fights, it was slower and more intense. I prefer playing old versions of gz than new ones, also the vibe is much better back in older versions, it feels more like it should, ominous, gloomy, eerie.

And in contrast : several vantage points are suddenly obstructed with trees and shrubbery, so lone wolf snipers are discouraged to play solo, while there are sniper rifles in the game ?! Gamers are forced to engage in aggressive battle.

The biggest issue there is the constant crashes.
Although a lack of Plundra is…quite difficult due to a limited inventory.

But back then, the machines were much more deadly and there were a lot more of them.

All we need is less downgrades called “optimization” and more story related updates WITH ACTUALL voice casts, characters and missions and also to get back the original GZ vibe that was ruined by many updates and weird choices to the game.
