i just got a two star machine gun compensator from an apoc runner im on pc steam

Apoc Runners can indeed drop machine gun attachments. It’s because the machine guns came out at the same the Apoc machines, in Alpine Unrest.
I’ve had them drop a 1c MG comp, a 1c MG suppressor and a 1c KVM 89 extended mag.

Yep. They also very occasionally drop the LMG itself, though only 1c.
