Scenery and all that

I am due to buy this game, (after watching extensive reviews and some partial play-throughs on YT)
And having convinced a friend of mine to buy the game (so a trio can play it together) I had the privilege of watching him play the first hour or so via Play Share on PS4.
And we both noticed two peculiar things!
A) A dearth of wild life, (apart from a few birds) and while it didn’t detract, was noticeable by its absence.
B) Wavy grass, which kinda looked like it was moving to and fro underwater. Now when the “action” took place (meeting the robotics) it wasn’t so noticeable, but when there was quiet time (and lots of it) we noticed it.
For the Devs: Grass only "blows in the direction the wind pushes it in, (only noticeable when grass is of a certain height) it doesn’t wave about like seaweed underwater.
So, as I’m falling in love with this game, can you please add some fauna, (fox, deer, mice, etc)or at the least indirect evidence that animals live here too, and fix the wavy grass, so it behaves like real grass when the wind passed over it?
Apart from the above, best wishes for the game, and whatever update/sequel you have planned rest assured we are not nit-pickers
Respectfully yours, Ray

i think the machines would have killed off most of the larger animals but I agree that in the future, some smaller creatures scurrying about would be a nice addition. and even some larger animals could be hiding in caves

The current lack of any animals other than birds could mean that machines killed them as well. Although I’d be happy to forego that element and see animals of all sizes in the world. It would go a long way to filling the world out and making it appear less sterile.

Well, I’m not advocating that every squirrel, fox, mouse and deer be actually IN THE GAME, (though if a survival mechanic were added animals would be a requirement) but EVIDENCE of their presence should be in the game. Nature is largely ambivalent to our presence. Birds would still sing, peck and hunt, the wind would still murmur through the trees, and trees branches would still sway in the breeze. The SOUND of forests would still be there.
None of this is present in the game, hence it’s “sterile atmosphere”

Also, towns and settlements would have cats, dogs etc, and given the state of the world, killer machines would not remove evidence of feral domestic animals. And let’s not get into the lack of farm animals etc. The story being what it is, I can’t see why the machines would kill large animals, such as sheep, cows, deer etc, while I could see them defending themselves from wolves, bear and maybe the occasional raging bull

Indeed there should be some animals, but i think they should be “invulnerable” and that machines would not be interested in them, humans as their only enemy, i think it would be the best, also many civilians were evacuated and all but there should be some dead in the cars and towns right? to give a more dark and real feeling to the game.

Hmm, dunno about the more dark part, there’s such a thing as too real!! Animal invulnerability? Nope, can’t say as I agree, what if yer attacked by feral domestic animals, let alone medium to large predators? I think it would be enough to see evidence of animal life, even going so far as the occasional glimpse of a creature now and then!!

Well the occasional glimpse would be okay yes, but i never said the animals would attack anything, for that you have red dead redemption
I just think it would give a bigger immersion to the game, having some land animals appear sometimes, and any survival horror or action game where there is violence and weapons, you can see dead bodies, it`s part of the scenery, so it would make sense, and i am glad the new DLC has got some dead civilians, makes things more real and consistent (machines are roaming around killing every human, makes sense )
