Scope Image Improvement

Please, Please, Please, can you put a “real time” image in the scope of a rifle at all times? Halo, did it 15 YEARS ago. Your work is amazing, and graphics, especially the lighting and shadowing are VERY good, but that ONE THING stands out and makes it look like a 1990s game. You guys are way better than this!

EDIT: My mistake, it was Halo 2, in 2004. Still, 15 years ago. I know there are difficulties, but SOMETHING has to be done about the dead looking scopes. Remember, making games is about trickery, and doing it on the cheap. You can figure it out.

I agree, the scopes don’t look any good the way they are now. :slightly_smiling_face:

However, in real life you can’t see through a rifle scope without looking straight into it.
When looking at the back of the scope slightly from the side, like you do in FPS games, the only thing you should see is a black, shiny glass, and the light behind you reflecting off it.
Also, in GZ you can see the reticle painted on the ocular of the scope. That is ridiculous!

I also like to point out that the scope mounts on hunting rifles are too high. You won’t shoot well if your cheek doesn’t rest on the stock, so the scope needs to sit low enough to allow that, or you need an adjustable cheek piece. I see this a lot in games and movies, and it’s not important but shooters notice.
