It’s just filled with those action moves or whatever they’re called. I don’t personally use L1 to select any of those things, so for me it’s a complete waste. I’d rather those dance moves (or whatever they are) be as selectable as a weapon or item. I don’t think and entire wheel needs to be dedicated to those. Let me know if my terminology is wrong, but hopefully you can smell what the Rock is cooking!
I totally agree. I think there needs to be a better system that isn’t as interruptive of gameplay as the one we have right now. It is a very limited UI menu. Sometimes I’ll run low on a specific medic pack and have 3 different types of them, 3 slots just for healing items. Or have like 5 different explosives that I need to make a trap for a high health boss
Basic UI changes that adds more freedom to customizability is something that benefits everyone so I don’t get why some gatekeepers on the forums think the current system is the best one. If they want the current system then they can just fill up their slots with emotes
I’m glad that they even added some basic things like tap to pick up rather than hold in the options as someone who wants to take all the loot with a quick click Fallout style
Sometimes (If not even in general) limited freedome also is a design descition, sometimes it has technical reasons. And the devs already reverted the original even more limited system to more freedom for us.
With too much freedom a game can very fast become just a silly sandbox instead of a challenging experience.
At least that’s my opinion and experience so far.
And that’s why I can live with how it is.
“Make your own fun” is usually very boring.
