**Platform:** PC
**Description:** Besieged in Church at Klinte by 22 machines. About four Seekers. Every time a Seeker spotted me (at least i assume that was the Seekers) my screen went: "Ping" (as i imagine it is supposed to) and my rifle was instantly pointing at my shoes. Since the Seekers spotted me about every five seconds, it became very difficult to engage the enemy, since I was pointing at myself all the time. I have had somethinng similar before but hadn't been up against so many machines, so ignored it before, but this time the battle took five times as long as it should.
**Steps To Reproduce:** Big battle, lots of Seekers, when screen goes ping your rifle is thrown off aim downwards.
**Images / Videos:** Can;t take videos since I haven't enough memory.
**Host or Client:** Steam
**Players in your game:** Just me.

I have the same thing except my weapon points straight up when I get pinged. On a Ps4 slim. Playing Solo
I would say it is intended, as well, not a bug. It must be something like an EMP attack. When a tank stompes at you or when a runner rams into you the character and the screen are shaken up as well.
I think it’s just there to tell you you’ve been spotted - the indicators bars are mere proximity. I’ve had those go red without being seen. I don’t think it is Hawkwind’s “Sonic Attack” (“Think only of yourself” - that would have been at about this time!).
I think it’s an irritating bug, until a DEV tells me differently. If it doesn’t happen to everybody the same, it’s not working correctly…
Happens to me and everyone I’ve played with. PS4. I think it’s intended. Like when we throw fireworks to confuse them they do this to confuse us.
No, I’m certain it’s a bug (having thought about it). 1/. The rifle isn’t pushed towards the shoes, it is instantly pointing. 2/. It doesn’t affect everyone the same. 3/. It happens at other times as well, like when I turn around in large spaces - a hangar for example, with no enemies anywhere near.
I’d love to see a video of this happening. For me on PC, whenever I get pinged by a Seeker there’s just this blurry shockwave effect which distorts vision momentarily, but nothing else. They can spot you, scan for you, alert other Machines to your location and ping you but Seekers don’t have any offensive capabilities, that I’m sure of.
I’m thinking, it may be an FPS issue.
@Terrorrobot may be able to vid it: as I say, I really daren’t 'cos my spec is so low, and I’d have to vid for hours since it’s really unpredictable, apart from combat, when my laptop already gets so hot that I can hardly touch the keys!
I’m not sure on how to do it on PS4. I think it only saves 15min or so of video. And the fact that the game has so much lag in combat i don’t want to put more work on my PS4. But if I can I’ll record with my mobile and post it here. I’m playing later today.
Il try and film It if I can on xbox. I’m 100% sure it’s an attack move done by seekers. Whilst aiming out of windows with scope at machines they do the pulse and it puts aim to floor. It’s a great tactic and has stopped me making a few crucial shots
