Seekers (Flying Scout machines)

I mean the flying machines that wander in reconnaissance (if they have a specific name is not clear to me ). I have some questions about this, for those who will have the patience to answer.
How do you approach them?
It is obvious when they emit a loud siren sound to attract other machines.
Personally I usually try to knock them down, obviously from the distance, but apart from the prototypes (orange), any other recognizer needs more than one shot (excluding the use of the .50 caliber). When you attack them, do they warn the other machines in the period between which you attack them and finally shoot them down?
And that sort of sonar and beep that is perceived on the screen with a sort of distortion (when they are close) warns the other machines as well? I have also noticed that when the machines besiege you, for example inside a house, many of these scouts are lured into the area.

Thanks for your time

P.S: thanks @MarkNcheese42 for the explanation about the name, i have updated the post title.

They are called seekers. To kill them quickly hit their thrusters. There are two, and can each be found on opposite sides. Also Unless there is a bug they should only warn machines if the siren goes off. The beeping I believe is a sonar, used to look for players. Also yeah seekers can call other seekers. SO in a large fight, seeker swill probably arrive at some point.

A good company at all

Yeah seekers sometimes come in bulk. I once had 8 FNIX seeker in the mountain region.

@Fenderred I find seekers useful when they are close to a building. They hold the aggro of larger machines like tanks and harvester. If you take too long between shootings they tend to move away.
