Should genz be free to play

If this game gets enough dlcs, should this game go free to play. In my opinion yes, but the dlcs need to be paid for. I want to hear your thoughts.
(Sorry if this is copying another topic)

No.

DLC amount doesn’t state if the game should be free to play or not.

Also, making the base game free, devs need another income source and for free to play games, it’s usually either of the two or both:

  • bulk of the game is locked behind paywalls (DLCs)
  • microtransactions within the game itself

Free to play looks always kind of shady nowadays. It’s price dropped quite significantly since launch and what you get today is good bargain in my opinion.

Even the price for the Hinfjäll-DLC is really low. A couple of bucks for hours and hours of gameplay is also a good bargain.

TBH I’d rather pay up front then later in the game. And on Steam you can “test” the game for two hours and get your money back if you want to.

Free to play is a avoidance term to say “pay to win” or “pay to enjoy”. Hell no

I don´t think it would be a good idea, the game still has some bugs and it took them some time to fix the game (almost 1 year), if it becomes free, quality will get lower, and until now the DLC content was cheap, if the game becomes free, DLC will have higher prices, nowadays DLC expansions are always 15, 20 or 24 €/$, not 7,99€ as it is.
So no…it´s a terrible idea, good ideas would be for them to improve the “Propaganda” of the game, and adding more events, maybe even a 12/24 hour timed Demo of the game for the consoles.
The game is now a lot easier with adventure mode and weapons everywhere, they just need to attract new “costumers” and to give them reasons to stay.

No. Though a free play weekend on Steam might not be a bad idea.
