Okay, I know where the survivors are! I have solid proof of their presence. I was wandering about west of Norrmyra when it started to snow. After less that 10 minutes if came across this:
The tracks are leading towards the artillery base. Something is definitely cooking at Norrmyra!!!
Sorry to say, but I’ve seen tire tracks around Norrmyra before

I have seen tyre tracks in new fallen snow up at some camping ground way up in the woods. Cannot recall where but yes, there’s not only people out there, but someone has found a working vehicle!
(instantly considers best choice is to murder the other survivors and steal their transport!)
… though it could be a wheeled machine we haven’t encountered yet…
