Some issues on xbox

Hello, I play on Xbox and have the game disk. I’ve played every day for months and love the game. I have a few issues/concerns.

  1. since the Reaper update the machines are COMPLETELY NERFED. I spend 80% of my game time fast traveling around the entire world and then wandering for hours looking for machines to fight. At this point I’d rather go back to the pre- Reaper game.

  2. since the update this week I fall through the ground everywhere in the marshlands when I exit a safe house.

  3. why are there so many towns where machines NEVER SPAWN. I mean EVER. Even the biggest towns. Why wouldn’t the machines be looking for humans in the towns in numbers??

I can’t tell you how disappointing the complete lack of machines is.

maybe this is a possible reason there are no machines?

And I have to agree that it is very disappointing to not find any machines anywhere. (I play on Steam)

After posting this yesterday and reading through some other posts I see falling through the ground is a known issue and rebooting the game did fix it. I did for sure lose at least one maxed rival to the issue, this in a region that I am trying to increase in level.

My main reason for my original post was the lack of machines since the reaper update. After playing for HOURS practically every day for months I know the difference. If the machines had been this sparse when I first started I would have quit playing long ago.

Trying to level up regions so the reaper has more places to spawn is just rediculous now. The world is a ghost town. I simply don’t understand how you can go to even the biggest towns and the machines NEVER spawn there. Town after town no matter which region.

I’ve been hearing this ALOT since December update.

I may be able to offer some direction as to where to go if you advise what region you are trying to level.

Pretty much all of them. I have the farmlands at lvl 23 with a reaper spawned. I have south coast at lvl 20. The others are anywhere from 8 -16.

There just aren’t any machines.

So,

I’ve spent a few hours comparing how December felt it terms of gameplay. The machines are not spawning as often, and as consistent as November. I went to my usual 10 hotspots and as you rightly put…nothing there at all apart from scraps.

What did fix it, was changing character fast travelling out of area - Himfjall specifically. Let it save, then restart console. Load game back in with your main, travel back to area and 9/10 there’s metal work all ready for you.

I also buffed all 8 regions to L25, and it’s not an easy task. If it’s Reaper your after, I’d recommend Farmlands. Use the other 7 regions to farm L4 Tanks and Harvys for schematics.

I’ve done a short video on my route I took if that can help

Frankly, the reaper is boring. I’m max lvl running around armed with experimentals and because of the region leveling system I don’t want to kill Rivals. But if I did even maxed rivals are, of course, no real challenge. Tanks and harvesters are slow and easy. The reaper is only a tank that you can’t shoot half the time.

I know… I know… if I want more of a challenge I could start over. That’s the thing though. With most games when you get all tough and kitted out next thing you know the game’s over. All that work for nothing. I want to cruise around and kick ass and take names. Used to be able to do that before the reaper update.

I’ll try the changing character trick though. Thanks for the tip!

There’s the obvious hotspots. And considering your max, I understand you wanting some trigger time.

Have you considered focusing on Himfjall for target practice?

I used to go there all the time for the tough stuff. 3 locations in particular. Since the reaper update there’s nothing there but snow and silence. I wish Xbox had hard difficulty.

Yeah do yourself and console restart.

And be sure to turn off the console by holding in the the power button for 5 seconds. I don’t know why, or even how - but since doing this I’ve had no crash or gameplay issues what so ever.

Hope it helps
