That’s too bad. It seems you really found a bug. Some missions are sensible if you go through them in a not forseen order. This happened quite often in earlier times but fortunately for most missions you can complete them in any order you want.
I think you have unlocked the Mission due to the Access to the Warboard in Minken Bunker. Because Spiking the Guns is one of three Main Missions on the Southcoast. When you have not unlocked it, you can access the Törsberga Fort and occupie the Bunker, but you wouldn‘t find the Mission Items.
Pherhaps thereis a bug in your Modewith that you play. You can set your Game on Guerilla, Skirmish and Adventurer. O have seen a bug like that what i describe now at the Marine Base from Saltham. I was on Skirmish and after i fought the Robots the Mission to clear the Radarmast in the Base would not start. The Mission Sign ( a blue Diamond ) hubg in the air atthe Mission point. So set your game in an other Mode and try again, searching the Törsberga Fort. Three weeks before inplayed the Mission on skirmish and the first thing was as i reached the Törsberga fort I run to the safehouse behind the gastanks than got back to the Jetty and the barrack and then the item was at the green barack and the radio starts. Pherhaps that helps. At the Marine Base in Saltham i have set my game in Adventurer Mode and it worked as expected.
i tryed different modes, grafiks and charackter… i port away for examble to the f23 Överby airbase and there i kill all big maschines…port back and see if its work…for the close doors (no power bug) it works but not for the letter…
I looked at the Misson again. At the barrack at the Jetty there is the radio transmission from the Vråken Pilot that unlocks the Mission The falling. In the Main Room downstairs in the bunker there you find the radio transmission from the HMS Varstaborg and HQ order at the Computer terminal. When you go down the spiral staircase to switch on the power on the left side after the spiral staircase is a desk, there is a notebook. It is the restrictet Area. The letter from a soldier to his sister lies in one of the dormitories or in one of the green barracks at the patio of the Törsberga Fort. I looked in my Log and found the letter from the soldier. I recently played the Mission but i can’t exect remember where i found the letter. It could only be in one of the rooms inside the crew quarters or at the barracks insde the Fort. Sorry that i couldn’t help more.
i searched the whole bunker again togehter with an eye of my friend that was watching my stream…what should i say…we did found nothing…the only possibility is the letter lays behind the doors that i only can be open with a key…but that is not mission area…is there another mission from another region for examble mountain region that want to go there?
It is curious that in all existence of GZ nobody made a video of this mission with all mission items and weapons found. Most video’s are just about doing the mission. When I played this mission I found the soldiers letter, just as Helldiver did, but it’s too long ago to remember its location. In those days I didn’t log items and locations, as I do now. Still it intrigues me that this letter is so illusive.
To verify if someone is indeed experiencing a bug, or just haven’t found the item, we need to get a video or picture of the letter’s location before it is picked up. I am not ready to start a new game, but when I do I intend to make pictures of every mission item, and log the coords.
Request: It would be nice if the game would leave a mark (outline) after items and collectables are picked up. So it would be easier to trace if an item was picked up or not.
ok at last i found it with help from a dev
thx to Avalanche_Björn for giving the exact position of the letter
and thx to all others for helping
the reason why i didnt found is: i have a bugged door…i think the door should not be there.
so i was unable to go to this point but there is a bike glitch^^
and with that i reached the area and finaly i found the letter
i upload some screenshots for everybody to find the letter …i hope this will help and i hope the bugged door will be fixed soon
That’s weirrd, that you have a bugged door. I played the Mission recently and I’m on PC too. I hadn’t that bugged door. Ok. i play the game a second time but as i looked at my old savefile, i had found the letter too. Could it pherhaps be that it has something to do with the Processor. I have a Intel Core I 5 processor. I see you have an AMD Ryzen.
