Hey Gen Zero Team,
First post here and I didn’t see any similar bug reports on this, so I wanted to bring it to attention. While using the spotter module for the new companions with my partner, we noticed that is was causing some variation of game crashing. Notably:
When I was hosting, it was causing me to forcefully go into offline mode around the same time the ability was activated. This, in turn, caused my partner to still be in an instance of my world even while I was offline but she was unable to loot or interact with most anything in the world.
We moved on to try and see if it was an issue with my ability to host or that particular area of the map (Mountain Bunker “Ugglan”) or just my ability to host period or perhaps an issue with either Gen Zero Multiplayer/Steam as a whole. Upon getting into her world, we managed to take out a Prototype Harvester and not long after I was force disconnected from the Multiplayer. Hop in, try again, and have a similar encounter with a Soldier Class Firebird, this time crashing just as I was about to fire. At this point, we begin thinking maybe it’s an interesting interaction between her ability to remote hack and the spotter module. Testing from there, we reset the world and attempt to hack a robot and have no issues, moving on to another robot we begin combat and I begin to deploy my Companion and before the it even fully spawns in, I force crash back to the menu. I go into a solo world, swap out the module realizing that it’s likely a problem with the Spotter Module and switch back to the base Runner Module and haven’t had any instances since.
I was unsure if this was something brought to the attention of devs yet and I wanted to make sure this was known. Best of luck with things going forwards!
Also, just reading things in regards of posting, I do play on PC and I don’t quite remember or know my hardware specs at the moment nor do I think it’s necessary in this regard, however if asked I’ll take the time to look things up. That being said, I do believe all other information typically requested has been noted here, but if I did miss something, again, please let me know!
