Stereo added function

What about the option of a longer music play on the deployable stereos? Allow us to drop. Turn on/off. And allow the music to play for 10 mins before it dies out.
Each cassette we pick up can allows us to cycle a song a GZ song on The stereo
As for Agro. I don’t know the range but as an example the small than can do 100 meters and the large can pull 200 meters.

On top of that additions to the music gives us a buff during the music

Agree that stereo needs little bit longer playtime, maybe 20 secs. And definitely not 10 min for music.
What use it would have stereo playing music that long, you cant pick them up after deployed.

Robots from longer distance just stops when music stops, specially when using boom box which has greater range.

You have comm. lure devices with train horns, darn those things are loud and distance is huge.
Also organs and church bells work quite long distances, minus is that they are only in fixed locations.

And combining these, you can pull robots from quite long distance. Comm lure, boom box and if that is not enough, small radio.

Nice idea.

It seems to me an ideal way to get some use from the mix tape collectibles. You get a different song or couple of songs from each mix tape which are themed to the tapes title. You select them in a submenu when the boombox is equipped.

Heck, if you want to go extreme you could have the music playing constantly while a boombox is equipped. The radio stations from GTA come to mind.

The wedding music one could be fun as a hunter comes stomping along to “here comes the bride”

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about this on and off. There probably isn’t enough money to license genuine '80s hits, maybe not to have more music specifically written, either. There may be suitable creative commons songs though, CC-BY or such like, I don’t know.

I know of a game that had a competition like we did with our wooden horses, except for songs that would then play as background music in an in-game location that was a record store, but I’m not sure GZ has a sufficient number of artsy players to pull that off, especially when there’s a constraint such as “must not be in a style that was invented after the '80s.”

@Lonewolf I don’t think you understood what I was saying

In the 80s I would have dropped my radio down. Aka boom box with my jams to pump me up during a fight like most trending movies scenes. Of before missions for looting it be nice to grab a boom box in a gutted enemy area and throw some jams down while you searched loot. Since they are almost a dime a dozen

So you want to just listen music while looting or doing other activities in game.
You know there is programs to play your preferred music while playing the game.
And if your keyboard have multimedia buttons stop/play etc, you can control them easily.

On consoles it might be somewhat limited, but i know you can have Spotify playing while playing with PS4.

Spotify works fine in the background while playing GZ on Xbox One S.

Yes I know of applications for PC and console are there Which I don’t use on PS4. It was just a concept of sharing and show casing In game since there are so many stereos to grab, I actually just grab a stereo all the time and toss it on the ground for my amusement And just thought it be cool to utilize it further.
Being on this planet for 40 years and living in the 80s it would have just added a nice touch to how it was back than with seeing people doing dance wars and break dancing with the boom box. And I don’t see any reason to have legit bands playing when the musical artist has been doing a fantastic job As I stated in my first post to use GZ songs. But I don’t want this to go elsewhere so I hope this gets locked.
