Storage Bin Causes Crashing

I’m playing on the Xbox App on my pc, I have the game purchased as well as almost all of the DLC (Aside from much newer ones), but much earlier, around 2022, I had used dupe glitches and the like to subvert the material gathering process, but if I remember correctly, it went way too far. At some point I had gotten massive amounts of material that wouldn’t stack and unstack properly, and had coincidentally even stacked a bunch of weapons and other non-stackables together. Now, my current CPU is kind of deteriorating and is struggling right now so I’ll have to get a new one, but I’m unsure if that’s the issue here.

I feel like the CPU can’t compute all the stacks of items and all that, or a previous update had broken my storage bin, but I’d like to completely clear out the bin. I’ve already deleted all my characters and worlds, done some looking around, but I can’t find out how to clear my storage bin on Xbox app pc. TLDR: Storage Bin is bugged with massive amounts of items and trying to open it crashes my game every time. Any solution is welcome, at this point I’d just like to fix this. Also to keep in mind, I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, as well as cleared some cache folders and the like.

So you used a bunch of exploits, and now you reap the rewards.

It’s very likely your save has become corrupted. I doubt there’s anything that can be done.

Your best bet is to delete the old save and start a new one.

I’ll just say now, your saved game is damaged, that will trigger the error. The only way to get rid of it is to delete it.

Maybe to late but when dupe glitch was a thing and it happend to someone in the gang, by accident when we gave and shared stuff like meds and ammo back and forward, the person who got the bugged Plundra had to empty all out and start to put item (weapon) by item back. And leaving all utility and ammo on ground then reconnect to the game. Or leave the game, reconnect and then put the weapons back? Can’t remember now.
Guess we where lucky because it was always some of the utility or ammo that was bugged when two of us grabbed the same, by accident and easily replaced and not exploited weapon duplication.

Yea the exploits were used and the benefits are reaped a few years later, but right now what I need to know is how to delete that old save and start a new one. The plundra is connected throughout all my characters and worlds, even after I delete all of them and start a new one. Unless there’s a way to delete the plundra files to reset it, or delete my account files to reset it, then yea there’s nothing that can be done.

Yes but how do I delete it? I’m playing on Xbox App on PC, and I’ve already looked through save files and deleted some, but nothing seemed to have changed.

I don’t know exactly how it works on the Xbox app, but you should look if you can disable or clear the Xbox app cloud storing of your saves. Then when you delete the main save file, it should start with a clean game.

Unfortunately I only know how to do this for PC/Steam

I know it’s possible to edit/delete your saves on Xbox app/microsoft store, only because a dev had to walk me through it a couple years ago; but I don’t really remember how to get there

Here is a manual for copying savegame files from steam to gamepass or vice versa.

There you should find the folder for the savegame files on Game Pass, too.

I’m assuming this is outdated by now, as there is no such folders with “savegame” or anything like that, there’s only the “saves” folder with “settings” and then the settings folder has the random digits folders, I just deleted the only folder with random digits and kept the empty one with “0” on it. I’m going to see if that would work, or if it’ll just screw it up more for me.
