Storage Capacity bug fixed or not?

I’ve been suffering from the bug that sets all your storage containers to zero, meaning you can’t store anything. Several other people have been reporting the issue in the Steam forums. I notice a topic discussing this issue on these forums but it’s locked and marked as solved?
There was a lot of talk in that discussion about mods, I wasn’t using any myself when the Landfall update dropped (which is when things broke). I’m not gonna lie, I have used mods in the past, but that was a visual cleanup mod that I used for a while and removed before the Alpine update due to it being too clean, which was a little immersion breaking (there just no pleasing me lol).

It’s not a bug.
It’s just missing mod-support.

If you used mods, there could be files in your game- or steamfolder, or even data related to the mod within your savegame that corrupt your game in the current version.

I think I’m true saying that you will not get any further support for your problem here in the forums.

If you ever use mods, it may cause future issues regardless if you remove them or not.

The storage capacity bug is specifically caused by a modified save file so, like @Madchaser says there’s nothing that can be done at this point, unfortunately.

Way use mods for this game? its so easy, 1100H and 780 deads and 70,000+ kills.

Because they want to.

As for attempting to fix any issues caused by mods. Best bet is probably uninstalling the game. Clearing all saves and data, then reinstalling. You might want to reinstall steam too.

I really don’t get why this issue is being blamed on mods, does no-one think it weird that this issue presented itself in the same update that brought changes to storage?
It’s seems absurd to me that a visual overhaul mod I stopped using something like three years ago (just before the Alpine update) would cause an issue like this with storage now.
Even given that, one of the first things I did when I noticed the issue was to check for old mods and it seems like when I stopped using the mod I removed all the files for it. There simply were none to remove.

It is the first update in a long time that edited the storage system. Installing a mod years ago, unless you deleted all the files off your computer. And out of the steam cloud and/or any other place you may have that would save a file. Then it would still be part of your game. Just like if you found a pair of pants a few minutes after you first started the game, you would still have those pants to date. You installed the mod, that edited the game, you are still using the edited/modded file to date. All you did when you removed the mod files was remove the command and execute files that edits the game files.

You can manually save your game save files and then delete them from the game directory. And delete and reinstall the whole game where you start fresh. If your storage problem goes away, you know what caused it. If it does not go away, then you can load your original game files back and try to find the answer.

This, pretty much. If it turns out to be a separate issue, then that is a need for concern and will be looked into further. But so far all info gathered on the issue is that people have used mods that messed up their saves.

Which to be honest, are risks they should be aware of.

Hope tomorrows update fix the problem for you.
