A very strange thing happened, while I was exploring the island, the pop-up appeared warning me of Tanatos’ death. I immediately thought “he must have eaten my mother’s stew”. Then I remembered that today he had made the pasta.
However I have no idea how it happened, a second Tanatos appeared immediately after the death of Tanatos, in the exact same spot where the first was. I went to the scene to check what was happening, there was no trace of the dead one or even the living one. I continued on my way, after about 15 minutes I returned to the place and there was both the dead and the living one. Needless to say, the living one welcomed me with open arms, after some fights and many medi-kits later, I managed to get close to dead Tanatos, he was loaded with gifts. As soon as I picked up the gifts I ran away as quickly as possible. Moral of the story: I killed Tanatos with the power of thought, zero effort and a lot of reward. I am including some screenshots to show you what happened.

It has happened to me several times that a Thanatos appears immediately after killing the first, but I had never happened to the same place. The important thing is that your region is above level 21

a somewhat off-topic response here: the localized name Thanatos confused the heck out of me until i saw the pictures and realized youre talking about the Reaper…
Please folks, try to use the english names, if for nothing else, just to avoid a confused liggist… :slight_smile:

Thanatos is the male personification of death, no name has ever been better chosen :rofl:

OT on / btw ingame it’s “Der Sensenmann” in german… :wink: / OT off

But I have to admit that at first I was confused, too and thought "Tanatos ? Who’s that ? A friend on multiplayer who died ? What ?? " :man_shrugging:

It happened to me again a few minutes ago. This time I made a short video demonstrating Thanatos’ suicide. At the beginning of the video you see the map and the location of Thanatos and after a few seconds he died alone.
