Encountering the tank for the first time was so awesome and fun, it had taken forever to get it down but my cousin and I eventually did.

Can you loot it. I got one down, but it still does damage to me when I get close. Is it not completely dead? I must have gone through 600 rounds and 6 rockets cause I didn’t know where to hit it at first and it was at night. I did run up close and got some things and just wanted to make sure that was all. I got 50 cal bullets and some other stuff.

Five HE rockets & about 100 assault rifle rds later the Metal Gear was down. But still hurting when I come close to it and not able to loot. Is this intended? Like cause it’s burning or is it some kind of radiation? That I’m cool with it. Just not intuitiv since I can loot all other enemies.
You can loot, justg heal yourself while you do it. But the loot is not worth it at the moment.

Smoke rounds and .50 BMG rounds which you can’t use. Smoke rounds are buggy and act as high explosive currently. You need to run to the center of the tank while healing.

And yes they respawn, just get quite far from the spawn area.
